Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Stellare Group LLC collects through stellaregroup.com, how we use and disclose it, and the choices and rights that may be available to you.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Stellare Group corporate website at stellaregroup.com, including its contact form (the “Site”). The Site provides information about Stellare Group and its portfolio of companies; it is not an online store or customer account service.
This policy does not govern a portfolio company’s separate website, product, service, or employment practices. Those activities may be covered by a different privacy notice. A link from the Site to another website does not make that website subject to this policy.
2. Data controller
Stellare Group LLC (“Stellare Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is the contracting legal entity that operates the Site and is the data controller responsible for the personal information covered by this policy.

3. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with the Site.
- Contact and inquiry information
- When you use the contact form, we collect your name, business email address, message, and any other information you choose to include in that message. We also receive the resulting correspondence if we respond to you.
- Network and device information
- When you visit the Site, our systems and service providers may process your Internet Protocol (IP) address, request date and time, requested URL, referring page, browser and operating-system type, device and language settings, request headers, network and system configuration information, approximate country or region derived from your IP address, and performance or error data.
- Security and bot-detection information
- Cloudflare and the Site may process a Turnstile token and validation result, IP address, user-agent information, hostname, site key, browser and device characteristics, Transport Layer Security (TLS) characteristics, and other technical signals used to distinguish people from automated traffic and to detect spam, fraud, or abuse. The contact form also includes a hidden anti-spam field.
- Analytics information
- We receive aggregate reports about Site use and performance, such as page views, pages and hostnames requested, referring sites, approximate country, browser, operating system, device type, status codes, and timing or performance measurements. We use these reports to understand audience interest and the effectiveness of our Site and marketing.
Sensitive information
The Site is not designed to collect sensitive personal information. Please do not include government identification numbers, payment-card or financial-account information, health or biometric information, passwords, authentication credentials, or other confidential or sensitive material in the contact form. If you voluntarily include other personal information in a message, we will process it as part of your inquiry.
4. How we collect information
We collect information in the following ways:
- Directly from you, when you submit the contact form, correspond with us, or otherwise provide information to us.
- Automatically from your browser or device, when it connects to the Site, requests content, loads the Cloudflare Turnstile security check, or otherwise interacts with our network infrastructure.
- From service providers, when Cloudflare supplies security, traffic, performance, or aggregate Web Analytics information and when providers deliver or store information on our behalf.
5. How we use information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
- to provide, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Site;
- to deliver your contact-form message, respond to your inquiry, and evaluate or manage a potential or existing business relationship;
- to understand Site traffic, audience interest, referral sources, and engagement; evaluate the effectiveness of our marketing; and improve our content and outreach;
- to protect the Site, our systems, and others; verify that contact-form submissions are made by people; and detect, prevent, and investigate spam, fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity;
- to enforce our Terms of Use, establish or defend legal claims, comply with law, and respond to lawful requests; and
- for another purpose that we explain when we collect the information or that you authorize.
Legal bases where applicable
Where a law requires us to identify a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site, responding to inquiries, developing business relationships, and understanding and improving our marketing; steps taken at your request before entering into a contract or performance of a contract; compliance with legal obligations; and consent where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time, but withdrawal does not affect processing that already occurred lawfully.
7. How we disclose information
We disclose personal information only as described below or as otherwise disclosed to you when the information is collected.
- Cloudflare
- Cloudflare provides the Site’s proxy, edge hosting and content delivery, security, Cloudflare Workers, Turnstile, and Web Analytics. In providing those services, Cloudflare processes network and device information, request metadata, security signals, Turnstile information, and aggregate analytics information. Cloudflare may act as our processor or service provider for certain data and as an independent controller for limited network and service-improvement data. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
- DigitalOcean
- We use DigitalOcean for certain cloud hosting, infrastructure, and storage supporting our operations outside the Site’s public delivery path. The Site’s current contact-form flow does not send submissions to DigitalOcean. If we place personal information in systems hosted or stored by DigitalOcean, it processes that information on our behalf to provide those services. See DigitalOcean’s Data Processing Agreement.
- Postmark
- We use Postmark, operated by AC PM LLC, to transmit contact-form submissions to our Microsoft 365 email system. Your name, email address, and message are transmitted through Postmark for that purpose. We configure those messages without open or link tracking. See Postmark’s Data Processing Addendum.
- Microsoft 365 (Office 365)
- We use Microsoft 365 to receive, store, and manage contact-form submissions and related correspondence. Microsoft processes your name, email address, message, and resulting correspondence on our behalf as our data processor for these services. See Microsoft’s Products and Services Data Protection Addendum.
- Affiliates and portfolio companies
- We may provide an inquiry to an affiliated or portfolio company when doing so is reasonably necessary to respond to your request or when you direct us to do so.
- Professional advisers and authorities
- We may disclose information to lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers, and other professional advisers; to courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other authorities when required by law or legal process; or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or property.
- Business transactions
- Information may be disclosed as part of due diligence for, or transferred in connection with, a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections where required.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by applicable privacy law. The Site does not use advertising networks to track you across unrelated websites, and we do not disclose contact-form content to third parties for their own unrelated direct marketing. If these practices materially change, we will update this policy and provide any notice or choice required by law.
8. Retention
We retain contact-form submissions and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and manage the inquiry, maintain appropriate business records, establish or defend legal claims, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We retain security, traffic, and analytics information for as long as reasonably necessary for Site operations, security, analysis, and the other purposes described in this policy.
Retention periods vary based on the nature and sensitivity of the information, the purpose for which it was collected, provider settings, legal requirements, and the risk associated with continued retention. When information is no longer needed under these criteria, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to limited retention in backups, security records, and records required by law.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:
- request access to or a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate personal information;
- ask us to delete personal information;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- opt out of marketing communications, sale or sharing of personal information, or targeted advertising where those rights apply;
- appeal our decision on a privacy request; and
- complain to the privacy or data-protection regulator where you live.
As described above, we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To exercise a privacy right, write to us at the address in Contact us. You may also use the Site’s contact form if you have a business email address. Please identify the right you wish to exercise and the information involved. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may request proof of authorization. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. The Site uses encrypted HTTPS connections, Cloudflare network and security controls, Turnstile bot screening, same-origin checks, bounded requests, and strict contact-form input validation. Contact API responses are marked not to be stored in browser or intermediary caches. Contact messages are transmitted as plain-text email through Postmark with open and link tracking disabled, then received, stored, and managed with related correspondence in Microsoft 365. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International processing
Stellare Group is based in the United States. We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. We handle international transfers of personal information as required by applicable law.
12. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
13. External links
The Site may link to websites or services that we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to review those policies before providing information.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices, services, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If required by law, we will provide additional notice or request consent before a material change takes effect.
